Amthane dam is a one of the beautiful place around the Goa that is still quiet and peaceful away from the other tourist host port. Amthane dam is not the most popular tourist destination in Goa therefore the the beauty of dam is the perfect place to relax. One can leave their Goa hotel early in the morning to visit Amthane dam and come back to their hotel in Goa later in evening. the actual dam of  Amthane dam provide water to all plants, people and all the nature being. Though the dam itself is not very big but  catchment area provide a very beautiful view. It provide as peacefulness, freshness, quietness, good air etc. once we visit that place you never come back, you enjoyed can the lots. when we go to Amthane its not will located the ussap name it still in ussap DHANGAR WADI. Holi Holi is celebrated by the Hindu people and it's also known as FESTIVAL OF COLOUR. It signifies that the victory of goodness and death of evil or badness. It celebrate during the summer season end of the winter season. During the holi we play lots, enjoy, laugh,  forget and forgive and repair the broken relationship. It is also celebrate for giving the thanks for good harvesting. It Last for a night and the day, starting on the evening of the "pornima"(full moon day) falling in the Vikram samvat Hindu calendar month of phalguna, which was fall between end of the February and begging or middle of the march. Hii friends I'm Durga,I am living in rural area & place name is ussap.Latambarcem is name given the group of six villages namely the Ussap, Nanoda, Sal, Kasarpal, kharpal and Ladfe.   I don't know why the name is given to our village but it has arrive before the portuguese had come. The village life is reffer to the life of people in living in small groups of rural areas. the life of village is quiet different from urban areas. In village we got peacefulness, love, care, openness, honesty, respect to each other & also we can see the beauty of nature.Our village is similar like that.Our village is not that much famous & its has two temples & one dam.Mostly for Amthane dam the now people is coming in our village & enjoyed their day.
