Holi
Holi is celebrated by the Hindu people and it's also known as FESTIVAL OF COLOUR. It signifies that the victory of goodness and death of evil or badness. It celebrate during the summer season end of the winter season. During the holi we play lots, enjoy, laugh, forget and forgive and repair the broken relationship. It is also celebrate for giving the thanks for good harvesting. It
Last for a night and the day, starting on the evening of the "pornima"(full moon day) falling in the Vikram samvat Hindu calendar month of phalguna, which was fall between end of the February and begging or middle of the march. We celebrate the holi in our village differently because there will be only the participate the man or children and not the women. They cut the three mango three and they shifted with another place namely the "Simer", "Devlakade" and "Chaveyter" and there is the end of the evil.
Shigmo
The shigmo festival in Goa is a colorful festival celebrate in the month of "Falgun" as per saka calendar. It is celebrated in Hindu religion. These festival celebrate in different places mostly in villages. The shigmo festival celebrate in village after farming. And in our village it celebrate or participate only by man. There were the three "Mankari" called the " Saterkar", "Ghadoskar" and " Kelmekar". They select the two boys from any community. And they called KARULO at the age of 10 to 15. They have to fast for whole one day. At the afternoon they have taken in the temple for dress up. When poking the nose ring there is lots of sound of dhol and then they pick it up in the shoulder and come to the main place called "GOLEKADE" then all the man dress up in different way and they dance still at 4.00 to 5.00 pm.
Kalas
In the first day we celebrate the Kalas means "God" festival. Before the Kalas festival more than many months in the temple there is Gavpan means meeting they discuss that in which house God will be send. Once they select the house whole family after the one year doesn't eat any non veg. The Kalas has taken house to house. Firstly they gone in Saterkar house then the other house and they give Nawan means water with sweet add on that.
Jatra

Jatra
Shree sateri jatra is not so much popular or famous or unusual jatra celebrated in our village ussap. Is small town in Bicholim taluka, East of mapusa. It celebrate in the month of December and January and it also not mention in the calendar. It was mostly celebrate in winter season. Why we celebrated the day because the vaddiwas of devi. Before the start the jatra the all people colour and decorated the temple. During the day of jatra small-small shop around the temple. People enjoy the lots.
